Celebrating the Doyenne: Shuchi Roy

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

MShuchi Roy is the Managing Director of a Non – Profit Organisation, Anahad Foundation in New Delhi. She has had an enriching career from working in the Supreme Court to being a fellow at GP Birla’s Fellowship for Women leaders. Currently, she takes care of artist’s rights and intellectual properties through copyrights besides being actively engaged with them on the ground.

What is your wellness philosophy?

Be thankful for anything and everything you eat, and always feel immense happiness while consuming your meals.

Your success mantra?

Staying positive and hard work is the key! The more one worries and panics, the more productivity/results don’t come out well.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

Sleep well before you begin any task, your mind and body should be fully relaxed or else in some way or another it hampers your work.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Take care of yourself on priority, ME time is mandatory every day for at least an hour. One should drive, dance, read, listen to music, etc, whatever she wants every day.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

Gradually having more folk artists (women) coming up for recordings with our BackPack Studio as they know now that with Anahad they are creating their identity and their confidence gets boosted up!
