Meghna Jain is the CMO of Orvi Surfaces, a brand known for creating innovative surfaces, with a fine blend of craftsmanship & technology.

What is your wellness philosophy?

Stay in gratitude, practice kindness and focus on being the best version of yourself. I practice being with people who focus on happiness, in small and big things of life, and the ones who add value to my life.  I usually try and eat a balanced diet but never particularly follow any diet plan. I love Pizza, so I eat that once in a while too. I believe we should not deprive ourselves of anything, instead we should eat what we love and work out for 30 minutes 5 days a week.

Your success mantra?

Love the work you do and be absolutely passionate about your work. Follow your own instincts when it comes to decision making. Make short-term goals and long-term goals. Work for short-term goals on daily basis and you would achieve the long term goal with a lot of ease.  Most importantly, make your work place a happy place with a lot of positive emotions, collaborative work culture, and a happy team.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

That it’s ok to make mistakes and every mistake is the biggest opportunity to learn something new. Mistakes are experiences which prepare us to handle more challenging situations.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Don’t believe in what people say and feel about you. Believe in what you see every morning in the mirror. You are the best and no one can beat you in what you do. Be honest and never go low on integrity, be it personal or professional.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

First it’s humbling to have had the most amazing mentors, and brilliant teams and colleagues who supported me in my vision to outbeat our own selves each time. When artisans share how their lives are positively impacted by our efforts towards protecting ancestral savoir-faire, it’s an emotional moment for me. When brand Orvi is appreciated by acclaimed artisans and designers globally, it makes me motivated to begin a new goal and new day with fresh enthusiasm and passion.
