Celebrating the Doyenne: Poulomi Roy

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Poulomi Roy is the Chief Marketing Office at RSH Global. Poulomi has been undertaking purpose-driven strategies and campaigns driving holistic growth for women across communities. Poulomi has spearheaded various campaigns that have empowered Transgender, Sex Workers and Acid Attack Survivors.

What is your wellness philosophy?

Know & acknowledge your physical & mental strength & limitations.

Your success mantra?

It is a mindset & attitude that is well encapsulated in this phrase ‘And Still I Rise’.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

Don’t repeat it. Make a new one.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

We get too many advice anyway, so my advice would be to stop listening to advice.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

Doyenne is too big a word, but I do feel good that through my work as a team, I have been able to make a tangible difference in the lives of a few women. I personally feel I do use my voice at relevant forums to raise awareness on social issues especially related to women & children, and I have been doing that consistently over years. This gives me a sense of purpose to value my professional position more than just doing a job to meet my financial requirements.
