Celebrating the Doyenne: Manisha Malik

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Manisha Malik is the Master Franchisee and India Head at Pazzion, a Singapore-based fashionable, and high-end shoe-label.

What is your wellness philosophy?

My wellness mantra revolves around a healthy pattern of sleep. Working out and eating clean is a necessity but what pulls it all together for me is quality sleep as it allows your body to rest it out and wear off the exhaustion of the day. Busy days and hectic schedules are all good for the grind but knowing when to relax and engaging in a proper sleep schedule is the key to holistic wellness.

Your success mantra?

Hard work and patience; I think they take you a long way. Pazzion opened when the pandemic just hit the market, and there was a lot happening. We faced a lot of challenges and hiccups with the whole global crisis situation and things kept getting delayed. But after rescheduling the things, we finally unveiled the first store in India at the end of August 2020. After launching our flagship store, we also expanded our footprint to the e-commerce business via Amazon India. This made us realize how important and fruitful being patient with your hard work is. Therefore, my piece of advice for anyone seeking success would be for them to not react immediately, not panic, just be patient and let things unfold while you invest your soul in it!

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

Over time, I have learnt to believe in myself and my vision. It does not matter if someone is not appreciative of your idea, but what matters is how you place your faith in it and endeavour to make it happen. Ultimately, it is about your vision and peace, proving things to yourself while making a difference in the world for good.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Everyone should follow their heart regardless of being men or women. Just be confident in whatever you do and you will nail it every time.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

Entering a market that is already saturated and making a mark is something I take pride in. Keeping up with trends and making sure not to get carried away but to focus on what I give out to my customers has always mattered to me. Women play a lot of roles in their lives and making it comfortable is all we at Pazzion strived for. I think achieving this and keeping sails smooth for my fellow women out there is my biggest success.
