Celebrating the Doyenne: Anjoo Chandiramani

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Anjoo Chandiramani has been an experienced corporate banker with a multinational bank for 15 years. Since, the last 15 years, She has been heading a large health education library, an NGO in Mumbai, which aims at helping people to make informed choices about looking after their health. Anjoo is a Wellness guide at GetSetUp helping other older adults live a happy and healthy life.

What is your wellness philosophy?

My wellness mantra is to keep myself busy physically and mentally, pay attention to diet, daily exercise, daily meditation, remain grounded, help others, and share joy and happiness with others.

Your success mantra?

One needs to have competence in one’s chosen field, aim for excellence in work, have good interpersonal skills, and focus on achieving goals to succeed in any area of work undertaken.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

Evaluate the pros and cons before committing.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Educate yourself by learning new things regularly. Be looked upon as a person of integrity and someone to rely on. Believe in yourself, have confidence in what you do. Women have proven to be highly successful when combining feminine qualities like compassion, understanding, and tolerance with other professional skills.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

It can make other lives happier, healthier, and remain humble and grounded at the peak of recognition and accolades.
