Celebrating the Doyenne: Aavika Chhawchharia

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Aavika Chhawchharia is the co-founder of Honey & Dough, a coffeehouse & bakery known for its exceptional cakes.

What is your wellness philosophy?

My wellness philosophy is very simple and effective. Nutrition, exercise & a peaceful state of mind. Eat well, sleep well, think positive, keep  yourself busy & help others.

Your success mantra?

The world is moving fast and our expectations from our lives have changed. We are more career oriented now, seek to beat the odds and be entrepreneurs, and strive for success in whatever we do but don’t let failures reduce your passion, willingness and determination to move forward. Keep going to make your space and way into the business.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

Learn from your mistakes. Don’t see the mistake as simply an irritation or a weakness. See it as a lesson, a way to make an improvement and recognize your own limitations.  Mistakes and failures teach you how to perfect the task/job.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Don’t be afraid to take the first step. There will always be risk involved but we need to get through and make our wayKeep working hard towards your goal and eventually things will turn your way.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

Being able to manage work and family together and being able to give balanced time to both. Also, I feel proud of creating an extremely dedicated team of employees who work with us and are with us in the long run.
