Chaitanya Kenchammanahoskote is the Founder of Maya Medi Spa,an aesthetics medical spa specialising in micro treatments.

What is your wellness philosophy?

A lot of us, men and women both get so immersed in chasing our dreams that we forget to take care of ourselves. It is extremely important to put your feet up and take that break and unwind yourself. Grooming can give us a lot of confidence and keep us going.

Your success mantra?

Nothing can beat being authentic, and that has been my go-to mantra for success from the beginning. Being authentic requires a great strength of character and personally, what I have experienced is that it helps one face even the most challenging situations that life has to throw.

Being authentic comes with leadership. This is because so many people still hold back from allowing the world to see who they truly are. Your voice will inspire others who feel the same. Also, when you are true to yourself, you not only trust the judgements and decisions that you make, but others believe in your judgement as well.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

I’m a strong believer in the saying ‘To Err Is Human’. I have always learnt from my mistakes, which have further enabled me to work smarter and take better decisions. We all commit mistakes, but one should not go on punishing and treat oneself harshly for the same.

I would look at mistakes, forcing us to explore alternatives. They require us to reassess a situation and think creatively to find a solution for the same. And it is this experience that benefits us in the long run.

Mistakes are a learning experience and that is the only way I would look at it.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Always believe in yourself no matter how harsh the circumstance. We don’t realise, but we are much stronger than what we seem. As women, we can multitask effortlessly and that is one of our biggest qualities.

Dream big and don’t downgrade your dream, just to fit in some notion that is out there. And while you continue to do things for your inner circle, don’t forget to take time for yourself and gift yourself the wellness that you need to keep marching forward.

Discipline is key and trusts me when I say this, the moment you start getting disciplined, a lot of things start falling in place. Last but not least, when required, don’t hesitate to ask for help. When needed, please ask for help. Because the situation that is not under your control might stress you out and hinder you from doing great things.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

My biggest pride is taking my passion for skin and science and setting up a global business. My business has allowed me to create a space to employ and empower women. These women, on a daily basis, are getting a chance to harness their talent coupled with daily learnings. This has also resulted in content and satisfied clients.

And at the end of the day, when I look back at all of what I have created and how it has created a positive impact, gives me the sense of being the doyenne.
