How to improve eyesight with natural food

In this technological world, we often tend to strain our eyes on these gadgets, be it for work or leisure. This makes the aspect of eye health quite important and proper diet should be taken to provide our eyes with nutrients.

consumption of a good and balanced diet is the need of the hour and here are the food items that are good for eyes:

Carrots

Vitamin A has a major role in eye sight and carrots contain the element in abundance. There is also a component of protein called rhodopsin which helps in the light absorption through retina. They also prevent the eye from infections.

Citrus food

Vitamin C rich fruits, the citrus fruits promote healthy blood vessels in the eye. Age related problems like the development of cataract can also be countered. Lemon, oranges, and grapefruit are some of the citrus fruits that constrict eye damage possibilities.

Sweet potatoes

These contain beta carotene which gets converted into vitamin A which protects the eyes from dryness and night blindness. It is also rich in vitamin E which is the source of antioxidants.

Fish

Fishes in general are good producers of omega-3 fatty acids in the body, especially salmon. They also encourage visual development and eyes stay hydrated.

Drink water

The essential in almost every care category, water even here plays a crucial role. A hydrated body reduces the risk of eyes drying up.

Eggs/ beef

Age related sight loss and other problems are greatly cured by eggs and beef both for long term healthy eyes. Beef is rich in zinc whereas eggs contain lutein and vitamin A too. Zinc also helps to see things clearer at night.

Nuts and legumes

Nuts consist of vitamin E which guards the yes against unwanted particles that may damage the tissues in eyes. Nuts like sunflower seeds, hazelnuts, and peanuts help eyes and can make a perfect snack. Legumes on the other hand, like kidney beans or lentils play an important role in shielding the fragile retina.
