Nikita Naterwalla is the Founder of Caim by årelang™, a brand that offers exquisite, sugar-conscious supplements in the form of delectable confectionery.
What is your wellness philosophy?
Wellness is a balance of mental, physical and emotional wellbeing which starts with nutrition and goes on to encompass a wellness lifestyle. It’s about incorporating into my every day, a little time for ‘me’- exercise, meditation, gratitude time, sleep, recreation, indulging in a hobby or anything that truly brings you joy and centres you.
Your success mantra?
Success is not a destination, it is a journey that begins with hard work, persistence, patience, sacrifice and belief in yourself and everything you do. Don’t underestimate the success that comes every day in small forms, and no success can be appreciated without failures. The greatest success is having the ability of picking yourself up after each failure, learning from your mistakes, and still moving forward toward your goal.
A lesson you learned from making a mistake?
If there is one thing that I have learned through my mistakes is that there is no such thing as a mistake, they are all lessons to do better in the future. As an entrepreneur, there are many times when decisions you take may not yield the outcome you expect. Although at that very moment these errors in judgement may appear to be an insurmountable challenge, in a time when you look back, you see that the lesson you learned from it was far more valuable than the outcome it could have generated and it is what made you a stronger individual today.
Any piece of advice for all the women out there?
Follow your dreams and never give up. There will be several ups and downs in your business. Remind yourself why you started and keep your goal ahead of you. Always, always celebrate the small successes in your life and make time every day for the most important person – you!
What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?
I am extremely proud that our company årelang Naturals has been donned with the title of India’s first Candyceutical company. To be able to deliver nutrition in the form of guilt free chocolates, candies and gummies that is as delicious as it is healthy and seeing this dream come to fruition was one of my biggest moments of pride. I have immeasurable pride in my team at årelang Naturals that have been able to get the company up and running, our website in place and our products launched, sold and flourish in homes within a span of 8 months, most of which were during the second wave of the pandemic. More importantly, we have been able to do this without making any compromises to our ingredients, quality or to the testing of the products. The pride that comes with employing an all women force in our chocolate factory and the pride in being able to empower more people with a healthier lifestyle in the most fun and delicious format with products that are science backed and result oriented. Yes, årelang Naturals would truly be my biggest moment of pride.
