Celebrating the Doyenne: Mudita Jaipuria

Mudita Jaipuria is the Founder of Warehouse, a one-of-a-kind luxury multi-designer outlet. Mudita has spent the last 16 years in the luxury and fashion industry and has a multitude of experiences from across the globe which helped her launch The Warehouse after she realised the potential of introducing the concept of liquidating excess inventory, to the luxury retail scenario in India. Warehouse brings to the customers authentic designer wear at reasonable prices, giving them the choice to own an exquisite designer piece.

What is your wellness philosophy?

Strive to maintain a balance between work, personal life, and self-care to ensure you’re not overloading yourself in any one area. Cultivate a daily practice of gratitude, focusing on the positive aspects of your life and expressing appreciation for the people and things you have.

Your success mantra?

Believe in yourself and your abilities, and trust the process. And success will follow.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

“Take responsibility: Acknowledge your mistake and take ownership of it. This will help you learn from it and prevent it from happening again.

Don’t be too hard on yourself: It’s natural to feel upset or embarrassed about making a mistake, but don’t beat yourself up over it. Remember that everyone makes mistakes.

Embrace the learning process: Mistakes are part of the learning process. Embrace the opportunity to learn and grow from them.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Believe in yourself: Have confidence in your abilities and believe in your potential to achieve your goals. Don’t be afraid to speak up: Your opinions and ideas matter, don’t be afraid to express them. Invest in yourself: Keep learning, reading, and growing as an individual. Take courses, read books, attend workshops or seminars that interest you.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

Founding or leading a successful business or organization in a highly competitive industry. Finding my voice and identity while managing my personal and professional commitments with elegance and grace.
