Aishwarya Bhende is the Managing Director of AB Celestial, India’s first luxury floating restaurant, banquet, and rooftop bar.
What is your wellness philosophy?
My wellness philosophy is holistic in nature, I believe in striking a balance between my mental and physical well-being. A normal day for me goes from waking up to working out and then starting with the rest of my day. To inspire me, I often surround myself with things I love, be it scented candles in the evening or listening to my favourite progressive trance. Sometimes I love to sit back and devour a wholesome meal, and indulge in some quality family time. The balance between work and play is key.
Your success mantra?
As an entrepreneur, I’d say efficient management of time would be my success mantra since lost time can never be found again. I begin each day by making notes and planning every detail down to the very last. If you can account for the hours and minutes you set aside for work and leisure, you can find a balance between being physically, mentally, and emotionally sound. Having a routine is essential to finding time to do things you love. I believe that balance is not something you find, but you create.
A lesson you learned from making a mistake?
Don’t think you know it all, mistakes teach us to be more responsible. Looking back, I can admit to having made mistakes and I’m certain I will make plenty more. However, having the courage to accept that you’ve made them and learned from them would be the greatest lesson of them all.
Any piece of advice for all the women out there?
Have faith in timing because timing is everything. Dream big and never let anybody tell you that you can’t do something. It took me over three years to put together AB Celestial only to watch my dreams turn into reality.
What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?
To be one of the youngest entrepreneurs in the food industry.
