Here’s Everything You Need To Know About The Upcoming Well-Being Program At The Westin Maldives

By Amrit Kaur

There’s no disputing that the pressure to keep up with the hustle is real—from staying up late to preparing for that 9 AM meeting; from scheduling time for family obligations to catching the latest parties with your buddies. But if there’s one thing that we’ve all realised after two years of ambiguity and anxiety during the lockdown, it’s that we need to prioritise ourselves more. After all, the purest form of self-love is self-care. And how best to practice it than to visit a wellness retreat where you are steeped in luxury in the midst of nature?

Two weeks of #FeelWell

Enter: The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort’s upcoming 3-part mind-body wellness program, #FeelWell. This program, which will be launched in April, aims to promote mindfulness and enhance mental, physical, and emotional health. The two-week activation will feature two 45-minute sessions every day that combine embodiment arts, design thinking, and behavioural psychology to empower participants.

The six pillars of well-being

In addition, you can revitalize your inner self at the Heavenly Spa by Westin with a customized sensory experience that appeals to all seven senses. Having been a leader in wellness in the hospitality industry for more than ten years, the property equips visitors to overcome the challenges of travel through their six pillars of well-being—sleep well, eat well, move well, feel well, work well, and play well.

Creative activities to unleash your potential

Participants can expect a variety of activities focused on self-growth, creative mindfulness, embodied movement, and programs designed specifically for women. Participants can take part in the fluid flow aqua Qigong yoga sessions, a low-impact, gentle, and pleasurable style of yoga that aims to cultivate fluidity, flow, and surrender while easing back pain or spinal mobility problems brought on by the workplace.

Workshops on mindful mandala painting and meditation will be offered, where participants can make their own special mandalas, engage in a brief mini-mandala meditation, and discover the benefits of earthing. Participants can also join full moon cyclical yoga and journaling women’s circle workshops, where they will be guided through the four seasons and five elements of the women’s cycle and provided with tools to boost their health using anatomical acupressure, seated Qigong and yoga stretches, and guided breathing. The workshops promise to be empowering and engaging, and will help the participants in connecting with their cyclical nature.

Deals and offers to choose from

The resort has also created a special wellness stay package called “The Ultimate Wellness Journey,” which includes an #EatWell cooking class, a one-time Heavenly Signature treatment for two, a body scrub treatment with a purifying facial for two at the Heavenly Spa, and a daily healthy breakfast and dinner at Island Kitchen or Hawker. During your stay, you can also participate in any two Wenlin Tan sessions of your choice as part of the package.
