5 Foods that One Should Avoid on an Empty Stomach

1. Tea or coffee

A lot of people start their day with tea or coffee as a wake me up which may be a part of the habit that people get used to, however having a tea or coffee in the morning can create burning in the oesophageal tract or even lead to tightness, constriction, and heat. The acid splashing back into the throat as reflux can lead to lesions in the throat which can hurt when there is friction with something spicy being eaten.

2. Citrus fruits

Citrus foods are best to be eaten after a breakfast meal or mid-meal rather than empty stomach and many people are sensitive to citrus fruits and cause reflux and irritation of the throat and even cause bitter burps sometimes.
