Celebrating the Doyenne: Anita Golani

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Anita Golani is the Founder of iORA, a DIY Salon Kit Series. She is also the founder of the leading parent B2B Company Anitas’s Aromatic Solutions Salons & spas in India since two decades.

What is your wellness philosophy?

WMy Wellness Philosophy is leading a well balanced & holistic life. This attitude transmits into our products & resonates with our clientele. Our constant endeavour to align our products towards nature has made me more conscious of the environment.

Your success mantra?

With people in India beginning to prioritise the quality of life, the importance of Wellness, hence aromatherapy has gained mammoth proportions. There is an immense scope for aromatherapy products that truly deliver on the promises made to the demanding & enlightened Indian consumer. Listening to our client, innovative products & competitive pricing without compromising on the quality are some of our key attributes.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

Well as they say, a successful person either wins or learns…never loses. Along the way, life’s lessons have come in different ways, sometimes a pat on the shoulder & sometimes a slap. What is important is that I have been open to the knowledge that the Universe wishes to share with me.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

TWomen today are instrumental in driving business & creating opportunities. The financial independence of the new age woman is also evident from the fact that they drive consumerism globally. Some legends like Anita Roddick & her belief in ethical consumerism; Mary Kay & her belief to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. My advice to women entering now would be to ensure that they have some trait that sets them apart. Keen introspection & progressive mastery of the knowledge in your field of choice, are the key factors to gain positive momentum in your field.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

My greatest pride has been that Anita’s Aromatics & iORA have always focused on responsible wellness. The foundation of the connection I have with my clientele is based on providing concepts & products which stress on the importance of PriORItising oneself. That is how iORA came into being. The intent to provide the consumer with responsible wellness aligned with nature has been foremost on our minds.
