7. Celebrating the Doyenne: Stuti Jalan

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women's Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Stuti Jalan is the founder of Women Inspiring Network (WIN) and Crosshairs Communication who runs one of India's most niche and upcoming Public Relations, and Social Media companies.

What is your wellness philosophy?

I like to go to spa once a month, do deep breathing exercises in the form of meditation or yoga for 10 minutes daily, and play lawn tennis twice a week.

Your success mantra?

One needs to have the Passion, Perseverance, and Determination. I believe in what Gandhi said “Be the change you want to see in the world”.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

I would like to say mistakes are learnings and give us the experience and wisdom for the future. I tell my team it is ok to make mistakes as it's the learning that matters.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

We should all pursue our dreams. Women Inspiring Network which was founded last year has so many inspirational stories from women from all aspects of life that it has personally kept me inspired and motivated during the lockdown.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

I was all of 23 when I started my communications business - Crosshairs and was fearless. And last year when I founded Women Inspiring Network #WIN, it made me rethink and reset ourselves and I loved the challenge. Women Inspiring Network (WIN) is an inspirational storytelling network that emerged out of the lockdown to connect aspiring women leaders from different walks of life. Now, with a community of 5000 remarkable women, WIN connects a vibrant network of female leaders who create a domino effect of sharing and empowering. We are a first-of-its-kind digital network which shines a light on the awe-inspiring stories of female achievers. We also provide them with a content platform where, by connecting with each other over their journeys, they can continue to inform and inspire the young professionals. From wellness to fashion, movies to journalism, entrepreneurs to activists, WIN has been able to weave these different narratives into an integrated fabric which illustrates the often-untold stories of female trailblazers and change makers from all and every background. Being a digital platform allows WIN to democratise access to the knowledge of struggle, perseverance, and success through webinars, Instagram Live sessions, and online series. As a women-founded and women-only team, we at WIN recognise and shine a light on stories that are relevant in contemporary gender equations. Ours is a comprehensive movement to ‘Pay It Forward’.
