Celebrating the Doyenne: Hanna Khan

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Hanna Khan is a Luxury Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle blogger from Mumbai who is best known for her bridal themes.

What is your wellness philosophy?

Wellness to me goes beyond eating organic food or exercising 5 times a week . Sometimes it’s about prioritising rest and indulging in an extra bite of chocolate. I use my creativity as an escape route and derive personal satisfaction through my job which is my happy place. I’m also learning how to practice the power of positive thinking and to never miss writing in my gratitude journal even for a single day.

Remembering to say a short prayer or just breathe when you’re anxious, it helps.

Your success mantra?

Consistency and quality of content is what I believe goes a long way. I’m also someone who is an overachiever so I don’t believe in settling. Attract greatness and opportunities to myself through my mindset.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

I used to underestimate the importance of networking and being on the shy side always found it rather cumbersome to reach out to people within the industry. However over time I realised having a strong support system of work friends can be great, once you come out of your comfort zone and reach out there are actually some nice people out there who are willing to help you grow.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

AMy advice to all women regardless of age is that you shouldn’t be afraid to show the world who you are. Network, reach out and build a strong network and blossom into the new you, the you that flourishes.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

I’m grateful for everything I have accomplished today, but I feel everyday is such a new experience of learning and growing. I have so much to bring to the table and so much more to accomplish even now. My mother and my sister are the strong personalities I look upto, so there’s always scope of growth I believe.
