Celebrating the Doyenne: Saloni Suri

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

As a renowned Neuro Coach in her field, Saloni works with individuals, groups and organizations to help them unlock their potential. She uses neuroscience based models of change to rewire mindsets. She is a certified Energy Medicine and Mindfulness teacher.

What is your wellness philosophy?

Wellness to me is the effort I put into balancing my body, mind, and soul.

I take care of my body by catching the morning light and walking for 30/40 min 5 times a week. I focus on eating food that works for me. The seductive mental whispers in the mind that can sabotage us have to be tamed every day in the morning, and a combination of meditation and journaling helps me do that. The soul needs love and I make it a point to manage my mental chatter by telling myself; I am awesome just the way I am.

Your success mantra?

Serve others selflessly and kindly.

Always strive to work beyond your comfort zone.

Change your thoughts and you can change your life.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

The mistake I made: I took time to own up to who I was and what I was born to do.

Lesson Learned: It is never too late to start. You don’t have to have all your ducks in a row before you start. You just have to trust yourself and leap with the belief that the net will appear.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Trying to do things to please other people is a waste of your time and effort. You cannot change other people, or their opinions of you.

Focus on doing things that make you happy and fill up your heart.

When you are happy and your heart is full of love, you will stand in your own power and shine in your own light.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

To have an opportunity to make a difference in the mindset of another.

Create change makers who lead with empathy and courage.
