It is a big high to discover a facial therapy that brightens your skin and makes it feel simply luxurious. On a hot Mumbai summer afternoon, I decided to take up the cheerful combination of (the inhouse-doctor-greenlighted) Red Light Therapy followed by a combination of Oxy Hyaline face treatment and Cryotherapy at The Wellness Co., India’s first integrated luxury wellness clinic.

There was something calming about making my way to the collagen bed in the therapy room. Lying, wearing my eye mask, in the bed, I felt the slightly warm, tingling sensation as the red light engulfed me for twenty minutes. The glower dips deep into the tissues for restorative treatment, nudging those sleepy cells in the dermis and epidermis into acting pronto, stepping up collagen production.

Glugging water before and after, I made my way for the curious combination of the oxy hyaline face treatment combined with a cryo-facial. Staying hydrated is a game changer in making the skin feel well-moisturised and supple, especially when the sun smiles stronger.

The 20-minute therapy began with a quick cleansing routine. Followed by the cool jet pouring molecules of pure oxygen across my face with rhythmic precision. A few minutes later, molecules of hyaluronic acid (that magic youth-giver!) flowed in with the oxygen to move deep into my epidermis, restoring the pH balance of my skin. The treatment works like a hydra facial booster, smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, brightening and lightening dark spots, improving skin elasticity, and minimising inflammation

The therapist patted my skin dry with a clean tissue, and then the polar rush set in. The cryo-facial brought in a consistent rush of vaporised liquid nitrogen, moving adroitly across my cheeks, chin, and collarbones and back to the rest of my face with amazing agility. Numbing the skin and stimulating the open pores. Imagine the coolness of icy popsicles on your skin without direct contact. Heavenly. The treatment ended with a fruity mask all over my face and neck, with LED lights on either side to dry it out fully.

My complexion has certainly emerged brighter and bouncier, with the uneven skin tone paling into the background. The three-pronged approach has improved my sleep and circadian rhythm. Best part? There is no downtime for the treatment targeted at banning your blemishes and improving blood circulation.
