Have you given up on every makeup product for eyebrows and considered a permanent treatment? Here’s all that you need to know about micro-blading.

Are you the one who is tired of doing your eyebrows every morning to get that perfect shape? Then Microblading is just the thing for you. If scrolling through your social media, you have somehow stumbled up on microblading, but are clueless about this concept, then here’s all that you need to know about it.

What is Microblading?

It is a way of semi-permanent makeup or a form of tattooing where the ink is implanted under the skin with the help of a manual hand held tool that provides the desired shape to the eyebrows. There are two forms of microblading-

1) Micro-feathering- Done with a lighter touch and is focused on making only a few changes to the brows’ original shape.

2)Micro-shading- Almost like brow makeup with a more filled in look instead of just hair strokes.

The Process

It is done by professionals using a small hand held tool made by several tiny needles. What one should know, that it is different from eyebrow tattooing since each stroke of hair is created with the help of a blade by making fine slices in the skin and deposits pigment in to the upper region. The entire process generally takes two to three hours and many professionals recommend the use of numbing cream before beginning the process.

Durability

As it is a semi-permanent process, the effect usually lasts for 3 years before it starts fading away. There are factors like the quality of ink used, UV exposures, medications etc. which affects the time span for microblading to last.

Safety Precautions

There are some precautions that one should take before going for microblading-

  1. Avoid the consumption of things which thins your blood, like aspirin, retinol.
  2. Be sure about the color of the pigment decided.
  3. Make sure that the blades are fresh and unused.

4. It is essential to check the doctor’s or technician’s licenses and registrations for the provision of the service.
