Celebrating the Doyenne: Vasundhara Patni

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Vasundhara Patni, Founder at KIRO, a clean beauty brand with an Indian essence. She has successfully formed the brand during the pandemic which has now become a niche name.

What is your wellness philosophy?

I spend a lot of time painting. It really helps me relax and get into zen mode on days where I get too overwhelmed with work. I think this is my ideal wellness philosophy. Art and design has always been a passion since childhood and therefore it has been a primary source of inspiration. I believe inspiration can be found in small day-to-day happenings as well if one knows where to look for it.

Your success mantra?

I believe in mindfulness and striking the right balance. As women, we are constantly figuring out how to balance various aspects of our lives.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

I have made many mistakes in this short span. I feel the way to treat a failure is to learn from it and simply let it go. Don’t hold on to it. Reflect upon what went wrong and make sure you avoid repeating the same mistakes.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Through this journey I have realised that things don’t always go as per our pre-decided schedule. As women with multiple responsibilities, we often stretch ourselves too thin. One thing I’ve learned to do with time is to clarify that ‘this is beyond my abilities and priorities right now. This has helped me manage the mom- guilt and has also reduced unrealistic expectations from myself and from people around me.
