Celebrating the Doyenne: Meghhaa Kalra

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Meghhaa Kalra is the co-owner of Ardor 2.1 and Ardor 29, World Cuisine Restaurant & Lounge spread over a massive space.

What is your wellness philosophy?

A philosophy of wellbeing, as a way of life, brings a sense of alive-ness to your life. When you honor yourself and others as mind, body, and spirit the world begins…the state of awareness of the non-physical aspects of life such as will, motivation, feelings, desires, sense of purpose, thoughts, memories, and beliefs.

Your success mantra?

SUCCESS comes to those who dare to dream, to people who truly move mountains to SUCCEED. It does not come knocking the doors of people who only wait for things to happen on their own. There is no success spell, so if you want it, go get it..love what you do, be persistent and consistent in doing every work and you will definitely achieve success. One more thing: never give up.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

The things I have learned from my mistakes and advice for all the women out there…not be a prey of self doubt…

*Don’t compare yourself with others or else you’ll never feel satisfied with the real you.

*Don’t hold on to the past because you’ll feel depressed.

*Don’t regret things you have done in the past. Learn from them.

*Don’t trust anyone because there are only a few who really want you to be successful.

*Don’t argue with your parents because when you’ll grow up you’ll realize that they were always right.

*Don’t be afraid of failure and never be afraid of trying .

*Most of the things that attract you in your teenage years are the things that actually distracts you from doing the right thing.

*Don’t fall for the bad guys because they’ll never change themselves for you.

*Don’t expect too much from anyone or you’ll regret it later.

*No one will always be there with you for a lifetime. Learn to face things alone.

*You’ll think that this is the right thing unless you’ll experience it..

*There is no such thing called a best friend because the ones who really cares about you will never ask you to call them a best friend, you’ll just feel it on your own.

*Attraction and love is different. As attraction is temporary and love is never temporary.

*Don’t rush into things in your life especially when you are thinking about being in a relationship.

*Don’t fall for the good looks because this may attract you at first but once you’ll get to know that person you’ll regret it later.

*Don’t waste your time on social media when you’re in school because you may lose interest in studies.

*Be afraid of trying new things because some things will make you feel regret later.

*Don’t ever let anyone bully you or you’ll lose your self confidence.

*Don’t be afraid of the people who think you’re not good enough because actually you’re worth it.

*Don’t chase those who ignore you because the ones who really care will be there with you. And you don’t need to chase them.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Be yourself no matter what other people think about you. Love yourself even more before loving anyone.
