Krupa Shah is the co-founder of IST, a crisp & refreshing alcoholic drink- hard seltzers that have a 5% ABV and deliver the pleasant effects of a beer guilt-free - in less than 110 calories, less than 1% sugar, and a gluten-free, vegan concoction.

What is your wellness philosophy?

A balance in everything! After all, through IST, our belief is that light-hearted drinking is a central part of our lifestyles and we want to inspire a generation to drink differently/ better!

Your success mantra?

I would think I'm not yet qualified enough to say this, however, through reading and hearing about other people's lives, I believe it's persistence! persistence! persistence!

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

Quality - don't compromise on it for costs. As an early-stage founder, I was often very cost-conscious and maybe even penny-wise pound foolish. But I've realized the hard way, to never compromise on the quality of product, packaging, collaterals, merchandising, social media, everything!

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Don't feel guilty about pursuing your dreams! Do it unabashedly.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

Being a woman in the alcohol business is challenging. Coming from a financial background, I learned everything on the job.
