“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women's Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Having spent years learning how to detangle, style, cut, and tame our hair, 2018 was the year, Hinshara and Yuba also learned to embrace it. Having been a part of a community where they spoke about all things hair, they found each other. Several discussions, Two minds, one common passion later: came about Manetain.

What is your wellness philosophy?

Taking out time for ourselves in the form of meditation, working out, or even watching our favourite TV show helps us tune ourselves back into reality in the midst of the work pressure.

Your success mantra?

Believing in ourselves and consistently working towards our goals. Also keeping in mind that sometimes, even with all the planning, the best things happen to you when you let things evolve on its own.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

Do not mix emotions and business. When it comes to running your business, you need to learn to when to shoulder off some of your responsibilities to your fellow resources. Hiring the right people for your business at the right stage can do wonders for the growth of your business.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Never belittle yourself. It is never too late to start anything in your life. If you can dream it, you can do it.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

Helping women embrace their natural hair and making the products and accessories easily available for them.
