What is your wellness philosophy?
To me, wellness isn’t just about eating right and working out, but living my happiest & healthiest life. It has evolved into doing things that give me a sense of contentment or feeling of relaxation. One day, this feeling could come from meditation or yoga, and the next day it could come from having a slice of cake or sleeping in or spending time with people I love. Recently, I have found that disconnecting from work and immersing myself in experiences around me is what helps me reboot. My philosophy is to listen to my mind and my body about what they need the most, and give them the freedom to go after it.
Your success mantra?
More than a mantra, it is a lifestyle choice. My optimism and positive approach towards anything I hope to achieve has pushed success within my reach every single time. Focusing on bringing energy and joy to my work, and believing that I am limitless in what I can do, is what makes this choice so powerful. I also draw energy from my ability to make the people around me feel happy, positive and joyful, which most definitely helps me to be happy and successful.
A lesson you learned from making a mistake?
Something I’ve learned and come to embrace over the course of my life is that I am my own person. The knowledge that I am in control of my own happiness and accomplishments has helped me learn not to place my sense of contentment in another person and their choices.
Any piece of advice for all the women out there?
Be unabashedly honest and transparent to who you are and what your dreams may be. Chase them without inhibition and even if you trip, that’s fine and you’ll be okay. Be your biggest cheerleader, because there’s nothing like knowing that you’ll always have someone who believes in you, and that someone is yourself.
What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?
What undoubtedly gives me joy and a sense of pride is the smile on all my clients' faces at the end of a project. Developing a bond filled with friendship and mutual respect with every client, it is truly a sense of pride to see that the hard work has paid off and that I have been able to play a part in bringing their dreams and inspirations to life.
