“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women's Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Akanksha Arora, CEO of Tribe Amrapali, is the brainchild behind the costume-jewellery division of Indian jewellery brand Amrapali.

What is your wellness philosophy?

To constantly learn more, know better and find ways to be positive. Especially after kids, I want to maintain a holistic and well-rounded knowledge of wellness in our every day.

Your success mantra?

To strive for the permanent, not the transient. I choose to focus on the larger picture and not sweat the details.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

I have learnt empathy. Not only for when I see someone else fail or struggle, but also towards myself. And then once you are done brooding over the mistake, getting right back with an enthusiasm similar to my toddler!

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Find your Tribe - and while they may get on your nerves from time to time (laughs), there will be no one that can lift-you-up quite like them. Which is maybe one of the biggest reasons why I love Tribe so much because I get to make pieces that celebrate women but also watch those pieces make them feel and look their best.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

My biggest pride is the brand itself. We are taking baby steps and have miles to go, but I am proud of what we have achieved so far.
