A promising entrepreneur with an inherent knack for business, Rohit is the founder of four innovative companies. Apart from these businesses, he has actively invested in over fifteen start-ups in a variety of industries. Q1.) What was the idea behind the Rooted Co and how it started?

Ans.) People in India are today looking to prioritize dietary and lifestyle changes to manage emotional and physical health. At a time like this, the demand for a high-quality product that caters to the health and taste aspect for active lifestyle enthusiasts has been increasing at a rapid pace. Furthermore, there are not many options available in the cereal or snacking category ideal for pre-workout nutrition.

Hence, our Co-founder Purvi Pugalia & I formulated the idea of The Rooted Co – a pre- workout meal brand that fuels your body with just the right amount of nutrition. With individuals keen on getting fitter, it is essential that we enable them to unlock their full potential and give their best performance every single time.

Q2.) How are you planning to encourage the Indian consumer to make conscious dietary choices through the Rooted Co?

Ans.) Indians have become increasingly conscious of their lifestyle habits. We expect their food choices to be based more on what feels good rather than what only tastes pleasing. Our range of cereals is 100% vegetarian and is created to satisfy all the demands of today’s smart consumers. Moreover, we live fast-paced lives today, and hence there was a dire need to introduce snacks that can be consumed on the go or enjoyed effortlessly with milk in minutes.

Q3.) Your product packaging is quite descriptive, do you think it has played any role in conveying your brand message and gaining the trust of the consumers?

Ans.) The company has spent considerable time and effort perfecting our packaging to ensure that it communicates the importance of pre-workout snacking and conveys the ingredients upfront, along with the benefits that The Rooted Co’s range of offerings brings to the table.

Ans.) Our customer experience rests on three strong pillars – health, taste and wholesome ingredients – that when married together bring to the table an exciting array of nutritious pre-workout meal options. The Rooted Co Roasted Muesli is available in these delightful flavors– Strawberry & Blackcurrant, Fruit & Nut, Cocoa & Cranberry, Super Seeds, and Multi Millet. The pre-workout Granola range is available in exotic variants as well, including Apricot & Orange, Dates & Chia, and Peanut Butter.
