Taste of Spain & Italy at Paella & Risotto Food Festival, Trident Gurgaon

From paellas that will start a flavourful fiesta in your mouth to creamy risottos that will transport you to the lush Italian countryside, dine at Cilantro restaurant at Trident Gurgaon to get a taste of Spain & Italy at the Paella & Risotto Food Festival from 19th to 27th March 2021.

Rice being the staple food of India, we love our curries to be served with rice. Moreover, our desserts are made with rice too. Celebrate your Love for Rice with the food festival at Trident Gurgaon’s award winning, all day dining restaurant – Cilantro. Experience stylish fine dining under the crimson dome, or an al fresco experience on the outdoor verandah while you treat yourself with the flavours straight from Spain & Italy.The restaurant is hosting a ‘Paella & Risotto Food Festival’ which transports you to the lanes of Spain & Italy using the main ingredient- rice, along with vegetables and oils which make the dishes healthy without compromising on the taste.

The executive chef, Chef Arun Mathur showcases different versions of rice from two different countries – Spain and Italy. You will be introduced to the authentic preparation of Paella and Risotto with fresh ingredients locally sourced. Begin with Avocado Mousse which is a fresh truffle slice of Avocado served with Sea Salt, then a Burrata consisting of Maple glazed peach and salted caramelized superseeds which makes it super healthy, and then another healthy soup which has 5 different grains like quinoa, amarnath, pearl barley, chickpea, and corn served in vegetable broth made in coconut oil.

Finally, arrive at the main dish- Paella & Risotto. Paella is a Valencian word that means frying pan. The dish is served in the same vessel it is cooked in, making it even more authentic. Verdura means vegetable in Spanish, so Paella Verdura is made with rice and vegetables and served with Spanish Lemon, garlic aioli, crusty homemade bread and tossed salad. The Risotto, a northern Italian rice dish, is cooked with healthy and exotic ingredients like 24 carat gold barley, super grain quinoa, edamame and asparagus to bring a green version of the Risotto. Of course, not missing out on the dessert. Complete the festival with Baked Yogurt, made with almond crumble and fresh berries to help you celebrate the summers as well.
