Many dermatologists have recommended constant care of the skin, especially the sensitive and dry skin to look radiant and vibrant. Cold-pressed nourishing oils have been much in demand turning out to be heroes in the skin and hair care regime in the beauty industry as per the recent trends. 

What is cold-pressed oil?

The name is suggestive of the process of extraction of the oil from organic seeds, fruits and nuts without using any chemicals or solvents like hexane in cold temperature. The tedious cold screw pressed extraction of the oil ensures that it retains all its properties of flavor and nutrients. Needless to mention, they are dearer than other oils due to their lower yield. 

 

How does it benefit your skin and hair?

Cold-pressed oils are rich in natural nutrients, aroma, anti-oxidants, and additionally, they are cholesterol and trans-fat free. On the flip side, they have a short shelf life.  Some benefits of the oils are:

  • Drops of Morus Alba oil at night prevents dry skin.
  • Use them as a nourishing agent on face and neck.  

 

Things to keep in mind:

Cold-pressed oils are sensitive to light, oxygen and heat. It should be preserved in dark-colored bottles to obviate the release of trans-fats and degeneration by damage to free radicals. Simple precautions will help you use the oil as a panacea for several beauty treatment regimes.
