Selamat Datang! Malaysia

The ‘Visit Malaysia Year 2026’ campaign by Tourism Malaysia calls you to experience the warmth, diversity, and natural wonders of the nation

Malaysia is warm, Malaysia is friendly and Malaysia is inviting all Indians with open arms to experience the melting pot of culture that it is. This multicultural paradise, where rich biodiversity, cultural harmony, and a deep-rooted commitment to sustainability flourish together, truly embodies the essence of ‘Truly Asia.’

In celebration of this spirit, Tourism Malaysia has launched the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VM2026) campaign at the prestigious Malaysia Networking Dinner, held at Hotel Pullman, Aerocity, New Delhi. The evening brought together leaders from the travel industry, airlines, and media, highlighting the growing bond between India and Malaysia.

A Night of Cultural Exchange and Celebration

The event was graced by H.E. Dato’ Muzafar Shah Mustafa, High Commissioner of Malaysia to India, and Mr. Ahmad Johanif Mohd Ali, Director of Tourism Malaysia Delhi. As guests mingled and shared stories of past travels, the highlight of the evening arrived—the unveiling of the VM2026 logo. The vibrant logo symbolises Malaysia’s rich biodiversity, cultural harmony, and deep-rooted commitment to sustainable tourism.

“Visit Malaysia Year 2026 is not just about promoting travel; it’s about inviting people to witness our way of life,” said Mr. Ahmad Johanif Mohd Ali, Director, Tourism Malaysia Delhi. “India has always been close to our hearts, and we are excited to offer Indian travellers new and meaningful experiences through this campaign.”

More Than Just a Destination

Malaysia’s allure lies in its ability to offer something for every traveller and the VM2026 campaign built on the core pillars of high-yield and sustainable tourism emphasises quality experiences across luxury, MICE, and eco-tourism while ensuring responsible travel that preserves Malaysia’s natural and cultural heritage. The campaign also encourages Malaysians—from tour guides and business owners to artists—to share their stories and showcase the country’s renowned hospitality to the world.

A Flourishing Connection Between India and Malaysia

The bond between India and Malaysia has only grown stronger over the years, reflected in the remarkable surge in Indian tourist arrivals. In 2024 alone, Malaysia welcomed 1,133,331 Indian visitors—a significant 47% increase from 2019 and a 71.7% rise compared to 2023.

To make travel even more seamless, Malaysia has extended its visa-free entry for Indian nationals for up to 30 days. This policy has not only eased travel planning but also shortened the decision-making time from months to just a couple of weeks, making spontaneous trips more feasible. Direct flights from major Indian cities have further strengthened accessibility, turning Malaysia into an even more attractive getaway.

Looking Ahead to Visit Malaysia Year 2026

As Visit Malaysia Year 2026 gains momentum, the campaign is set to showcase not just Malaysia’s beauty but also its heart and soul. More than just a tourism initiative, it is a celebration of stories—those of travellers, locals, and the landscapes that bind them together. With open arms and endless experiences, Malaysia is ready to welcome visitors, promising them memories that will last a lifetime. Selamat Datang!
