“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

What is your wellness philosophy?
I feel that meditation and chanting helps me stay grounded and become more productive with my work. It not only calms me down but helps me to make better decisions during stressful times.
Your success mantra?
My success mantra is to stay grounded and find the reason behind everything that is happening around. Be authentic to who you are and question the things that don’t seem to make sense. I am a straightforward person and that is what I apply to my work as well. I believe in setting up a goal and work towards achieving the same step by step every day and keep working towards them progressively. Ultimately, you will end up achieving the same one day.
A lesson you learned from making a mistake?
Making mistakes is a part of business. You cannot avoid it and I feel we always learn from our mistakes. My one mantra for life is to make mistakes but don’t repeat them. Earlier, I had a strong desire to make sure everything is perfect, and even the slightest error would send me spiraling into self-doubt and negativity. But now, with time and experience, I have learnt to accept setbacks as a necessary part of the business journey. I have accepted the fact that blunders are a natural part of human nature and we grow with each failure.
Any piece of advice for all the women out there?
I feel a woman can balance motherhood and her work if given an opportunity. For many women, working provides a sense of fulfillment and purpose that goes beyond just being a parent. It can offer intellectual stimulation, social connections, financial independence, and opportunities for personal growth and development. More mothers should join the workforce and not limit themselves to the traditional duties of motherhood.
What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?
Building a brand can be a challenging but rewarding experience, and it is natural to feel proud of your accomplishments when your hard work and dedication pay off. Being able to represent your brand on national television is a significant achievement and can be an exciting and proud moment for any brand builder.
