Celebrating the Doyenne: Ritika Sharma

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Ritika Sharma is the CEO & Founder of House of Beauty, a privately held, beauty and wellness retail company overseeing multiple international exclusive brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Juice Beauty, Neal's Yard Remedies. Boddess.com – House of Beauty subsidiary is India’s finest beauty-tech retailer that aspires to transform the way people discover beauty and grooming by combining technology, experiential retail and the finest brands from around the world.

What is your wellness philosophy?

Making conscious choices and being mindful of our actions. Wellness for me is centered around taking a holistic approach to health, with physical fitness and movement the most important core aspect – leading to all things better mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Your success mantra?

Work smart, stay focused and keep showing up. This means putting in the effort, being strategic in your actions and the decisions you take, staying committed to your objectives and persevering - bouncing back fast when you face challenges.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

Mistakes and setbacks are natural. Lessons I have learned are the importance and value of detailed planning and preparation, developing resilience, humility, and willingness to learn from others. It’s important to take responsibility, learn from experiences and use those as an opportunity for growth. It’s also key to understand what you can do differently in the future and move forward.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Be resilient and adaptable, build a strong support network of mentors, advisors who can offer guidance and encouragement. Believe in your vision and remember you have the power to create your own path.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

I feel honored to be considered a doyenne, but I recognize there is always more to learn and achieve. Grateful for the opportunities we have created in the market, the barriers we have broken through our campaign management systems and the chance to mentor and support so many women along the way.
