Ritika Krit established Kamree, an online marketplace that provides solutions for haircare and skincare needs.
What is your wellness philosophy?
Wellness is more than nutrition, exercise, or the state of freedom of disease. It is a dynamic state of awareness of the non-physical aspects of life, such as wills, motivation, feelings, desires, a sense of purpose, thoughts, memories, and beliefs. First and foremost, you have to know what your values are. These values may change a bit over time, but some of them may remain constant in your life. For example, my four values are service, connection, joy, and presence. I want my life’s purpose to be of service to others and myself, and I want to promote a connection between all people and all things. When I’m operating from a place of service and connection, it leads to joy — a permanent state of contentment and satisfaction. That allows me to be present in the moment and with the people I love, and to own my presence in my business and my life.
Your success mantra?
My success mantra is quite simple: Follow your heart. One can surely listen to people as some want your happiness, others come with great experience. However, nobody knows what path would be suitable and most aligned with your values. Hence, one should always choose and carve their own path.
A lesson you learned from making a mistake?
Optimism can turn any non-ideal situation into an ideal one. There is always a bright side to embrace and one shouldn’t dwell too much into the negative.
What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?
I would like to give two pieces of advice instead. Firstly, love yourself. This will eliminate the need for validation from external sources and give you a stable confidence boost. To enhance the confidence further, become financially independent. Keeping your finances strong will again allow you to make decisions that benefit you rather than please others.
What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?
The fact that women make up the bulk of Kamree’s staff is my greatest source of pride. It makes me feel incredibly happy to see that those girls and women achieve financial independence. They also equally contribute to the expansion of my business. The fulfillment of numerous clients who specifically seek my guidance regarding their skin and hair problems gives me the most pride. I feel inspired and satisfied when these customers thank me for the obvious positive changes inside of them.
