Celebrating the Doyenne: Payal Jain

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Payal Jain is the Founder & CEO of Funngro, a company with a mission to enable Teenagers to become Financially empowered and grow up to be responsible citizens.

What is your wellness philosophy?

Over the years, I have learnt the importance of self-care. As a founder/working woman, I always juggle between multiple responsibilities and demands and have realized the importance of regular exercise/yoga, healthy eating habits, adequate sleep, meditation or mindfulness practices. Developed my hobbies to bring in joy with small things.

Your success mantra?

Growth mindset: I ensured to learn from mistakes and failures, and have ultimately become stronger and more resilient. It helped me cultivate my abilities and raise my potential. Friends & Family play an important role in my life. It gives me a sense of connection and belonging, and helps to reduce stress and increase feelings of happiness and wellbeing.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

Life is all about trying and making mistakes and I have made many that made me the person I am today – strong and resilient. I take ownership of my mistakes and it is my tool to learn from them and move forward.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Believe in yourself: Believe in their own abilities and worth. It’s easy to doubt ourselves or feel like we’re not good enough, but having confidence in ourselves can help us to achieve our goals and overcome obstacles.

Take risks: Step outside of your comfort zones.

Build a support network: Women often face unique challenges in their personal and professional lives, and having a supportive network of friends, family, and colleagues can be invaluable. Don’t be afraid to reach out to others for help or advice when you need it.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

The biggest pride for me is to create something from scratch and bring it to this level. Funngro is making a positive impact on teenagers and helping them to find their passion. Starting with just an idea and seeing it through to a thriving enterprise is incredibly rewarding.
