“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.
Krisha Seth is the Co-founder of Dots & Doodles, a lifestyle brand offering scarves, pocket squares, co-ord sets collection along with a special line of aromatic candles.
What is your wellness philosophy?
To me, wellness is all about taking care of yourself in a holistic way. That means making time for yourself every day, even if it's just a few minutes of mindfulness or meditation. It's amazing how much those few moments of intentional breathing or quiet reflection can help to reduce stress and improve your overall sense of well-being.
Apart from these, I strongly believe that staying connected with friends and family is a crucial aspect of wellness. Social support is incredibly important for our mental and emotional health, and taking the time to connect with loved ones on a regular basis can help us feel more grounded, supported, and fulfilled in our lives.
Your success mantra?
My success mantra is simple: follow your passion and give it your all. Whether you're pursuing a career, a creative project, or any other kind of endeavour, putting your heart and soul into it can lead to great things.
Pursuing your passion isn't always easy. It can require sacrifices, hard work, and sometimes even taking risks or stepping outside of your comfort zone. But I believe that the rewards are worth it. When you're doing something that you love and believe in, it can bring a sense of fulfilment and purpose to your life that can be hard to find otherwise.
A lesson you learned from making a mistake?
One of the most important lessons I've learned from making mistakes is that every error can be an opportunity for growth and learning. When we make a mistake, it's easy to feel discouraged or embarrassed, but I believe that it's important to take a step back and try to learn from the experience. One key aspect of learning from mistakes is being observant and taking note of what went wrong. Rather than trying to forget about the mistake or push it out of our minds, we can use it as an opportunity to reflect and gain insight. By analysing what went wrong and why, we can often uncover valuable lessons that can help us avoid similar mistakes in the future.
Any piece of advice for all the women out there?
One piece of advice that I would give to all women is to prioritise reskilling yourself and staying up-to-date with changes in your industry. We live in a rapidly changing world, and it's important to be able to adapt and evolve alongside it. By constantly learning new skills and staying informed about the latest trends and developments in your field, you can position yourself for success and remain competitive in the job market. Secondly, technology is changing the way we work and live, and being able to use it to your advantage can be a huge asset. Additionally, women are natural multi-taskers and I think that naturally adds to the sphere of growth we can achieve.
What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?
Creating art has always been a passion of mine, and being able to see that art come to life in the form of products that people can enjoy has been incredibly rewarding. At Dots & Doodles, we specialise in creating unique and high-quality products that are both functional and beautiful. The brand's success is gratifying, as customers have responded positively to the products. The company has expanded its product range and explored creative avenues, despite the challenges. Hence, even though building a successful brand requires hard work, dedication, risk-taking, and a strong belief in what you're doing, it is incredibly fulfilling and energising.
