Hansika Jethnani is the co-founder at Funky Maharani. Funky Maharani was founded by Stevie Jhangiani and Hansika Jethnani with the intention of combining heritage and contemporary design to create everyday pieces of jewellery that are unique, elegant, and fun.

What is your wellness philosophy?

Going for walks. I think they are extremely meditative and therapeutic. There’s nothing a walk cannot fix!

Your success mantra?

Take the risk or lose an opportunity. Everything that comes one’s way is an opportunity to learn and grow, even when it’s uncomfortable and difficult.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

That mistakes are the best teachers. As it is said, you live and you learn!

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Know yourself and be yourself. As women, we’ve been raised to put everyone else before ourselves, but I think understanding and knowing yourself is fundamental to being the best, most authentic version of yourself.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

To have co-founded Funky Maharani, an Eclectic Indian Jewellery brand that is rooted in reimagining tradition. I’m proud to have helped create a modern brand that firmly stands with feminine expression while embracing the beauty of our culture.
