Devika Bhagat is the co-founder of Adventurist Spirits (makers of Tamras Gin), the only independently owned gin distillery in Goa.
What is your wellness philosophy?
My wellness philosophy is to take care of my mind, body and soul. Everything I do has to be holistically geared toward the wellbeing of all three. “Me-time” is extremely important and can be related to fitness, settling down with a good book, cooking a meal or listening to music while enjoying solitude.
Your success mantra?
To believe in myself wholeheartedly, to shut out the clutter and the noise and always to follow my own instinct.
A lesson you learned from making a mistake?
It’s ok to make a mistake as long as one works toward correcting it and it’s perfectly fine to ask for help along the way.
Any piece of advice for all the women out there?
Never say die. Just go forth and conquer. If you fail, try again. And never let anyone judge you by your gender.
What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?
Being able to balance being a Working Professional and being a mother to my 6-year-old daughter.
