Celebrating the Doyenne: Aditi Handa

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women’s Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

Aditi Handa is the Co-founder and Head Baker at The Baker’s Dozen. She started her venture in 2012 and has outlets in Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Pune and Mumbai.

What is your wellness philosophy?

I have always believed in eating local, enjoying the food you consume, exercising in a way that you enjoy it and don’t feel drained out. Balance of this helps me stay mentally and physically fit.

Your success mantra?

No one has the answers, it’s always digging deeper in the situation, asking lots of questions including the silly and obvious ones that get you results.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

Making mistakes is very important, fail fast so you can grow fast.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Perfect is the enemy of the good. It’s important to begin even if things aren’t always in place, they never will be. Start and take it from there.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

When the first lockdown was announced and no one knew how to handle what was in store to keep the business going and actually booming, it was a big achievement not only as a company but as an individual too.
