If you’ve been in the skincare game long enough, chances are that you’ve familiarized yourself with the principles of clean beauty. Do you know the meaning of mindful beauty?

To understand Mindful beauty, you first need to understand the meaning of ‘mindfulness’. The word “mindfulness” is rooted in the Indian word “sati” and derived from Pali’s early ancient Indian language. The word “sati” essentially means “awareness”.

Mindful beauty or slow beauty means no rushing in nature, everything has to take its course in its own time to be the best it can be. Being mindful of yourself first entails being conscious of the products you use on your skin and the foods you consume.

Being mindful of yourself first means being aware of what you are applying to your skin and what you are putting into your body. We believe that the slow beauty philosophy, a balance between growth and restriction, meets us halfway, explores the idea of remaining youthful, promotes the spirituality of holistic beauty, encourages mindfulness and self-expression, and reframes our ideals about ultimate beauty in general. It strikes a balance between growth and restraint.

Clean beauty” on the other hand is a largely unregulated term, created in response to the limited regulation of the beauty industry, by consumers and companies wanting a choice. In broad terms, clean beauty products are those made without ingredients shown or suspected to harm human health. Clean beauty means never compromising on health for results. Sulfates, petrochemicals, synthetic perfumes, parabens, artificial colorants, and other additives are generally excluded.

Just because you’re going clean doesn’t mean you’re going to be all about that natural ingredients life. Many ingredients used in clean beauty are made in a lab but are perfectly safe to use. Clean beauty triumphs over natural beauty in this instance because many mindful beauty businesses may use substances that react unfavorably to your skin. On the other hand, since clean beauty is science-backed skincare, it will work for all skin types out there.

Whichever skin care routine you go forward with, choose it wisely!
