  • Swedish massage 
It is based on western concepts and begin with general strokes and end with specific stokes on the affected areas. The Swedish massages therapy uses five basic movements;  
  • Long, smooth strokes (effleurage) used when starting and ending the massage.
  • Wringing and small circular movements (friction) where pressure is applied to a given area of the body.
  •  Kneading, lifting, and rolling (petrissage) of muscles.
  • Rhythmic tapping (percussion) such as pounding.
