Maila Reeves, Advisor and Ambassador for Lanserhof, the leading group of European health resorts and medical spas, dives deep into a discussion on the art of longevity, the science of regeneration, and how true vitality can be felt, seen, and shared.
Maila Reeves personifies the sheer essence of Lanserhof: In her effortless sense of balance and quiet strength that reflect her own personal philosophy as well: of living with grace. As Advisor and Ambassador for Lanserhof, she represents a new era of intelligent longevity that powers scientific precision with soulful awareness.
As a model and advocate for regenerative living, Maila embodies what Lanserhof stands for: the art of living well, feeling strong, and ageing beautifully from within. Lanserhof health resorts and medical spas have been combining natural healing with modern medicine for years to offer a holistic approach to health regeneration and prevention, and the growing momentum in luxury wellness, especially post the pandemic, brings in a timely expansion in menu and locations for the global preventive care major.

From cognitive strength to energy cuisine, Maila reveals how Lanserhof continues to shape the future of modern living with respect, intelligence, and grace.
Excerpts from a conversation:
1. What does good health mean to you, Maila?
Good health, to me, is freedom. It is waking up feeling refreshed, strong, and full of energy. It’s having the zest to show up for life, whether that means work, travel, or family.
I think sometimes we forget that health is not about perfection, it’s about alignment. When the body, mind, and emotions move together, everything starts to feel lighter. At Lanserhof, we help people rediscover that rhythm. When balance returns, you don’t just feel better, you move through the world feeling visibly renewed.
2. Longevity is the new luxury. How is Lanserhof defining smart ageing in 2025?
Longevity, for me, is not about time; it’s about vitality. Smart ageing is being able to stay strong, focused, and emotionally steady at every stage of life.
At Lanserhof, we study how the body regenerates at a cellular level. We measure biological age, mitochondrial performance, and hormonal rhythm to understand each person’s needs. Through oxygen therapy, infusion treatments, and personalised energy cuisine, we help the body renew itself from within. True luxury is having the energy to live fully, with a radiance that others can see and feel.

3. How has the definition of health changed post-pandemic, and what are guests seeking now?
The pandemic made people pause. It changed how we think about health, from something reactive to something deeply personal. I love seeing how guests now come to us seeking knowledge, not just rest. They want to understand their bodies, to feel in tune with themselves again. At Lanserhof, they find both clarity and calm. They leave lighter, clearer, and in a state of transformation.
4. What makes Lanserhof’s approach to longevity truly five-star?
Luxury at Lanserhof lies in stillness, precision, and care. Every detail, from the architecture to the atmosphere, has a therapeutic purpose.
You never know who you might meet here, perhaps a Hollywood actress, a royal, an Olympic athlete, or a visionary from Silicon Valley. Yet the experience remains personal and accessible. I love seeing guests from every walk of life — women, entrepreneurs, artists, and professionals — arrive exhausted and leave reconnected to themselves. They depart stronger, clearer, and with a radiance that lasts.
5. Which are the most popular medical programmes, and why?
Our longevity, metabolic, and brain health programmes are always in demand. Many guests also come for GLP-1 management to support healthy weight while preserving muscle tone and skin elasticity. What I love is that people no longer come only to look better but to feel alive again. The glow, the posture, the energy — it all reflects inner change. You can see it, and you can sense it.

6. An understanding of the demographics of the guests...
Our guests share a mindset more than a demographic. They are curious and conscious and view health as an act of self-respect.
We welcome global travellers, creatives, elite athletes, and business leaders. I love seeing women at different stages of life come to recharge and find space for themselves again. Younger guests are joining too. Our teenage programmes focus on emotional resilience, posture, and life skills. Prevention has become aspirational, and that awareness is inspiring.
7. How does Lanserhof bring science and holistic healing together?
For me, it’s always about balance. Science gives clarity, and holistic therapies bring flow. We begin with precise diagnostics like genetic analysis and biomolecular testing, then integrate osteopathy, acupuncture, phytotherapy, breathwork, and energy medicine. When these worlds meet, the body remembers how to heal. The result is a return to natural intelligence — the body working exactly as it was designed to.
8. What is the ideal length of stay for a full reset?
Seven to ten days. That is long enough for the nervous system to slow, the body to detoxify, and energy to rebuild from within. By the second week, I love seeing the change: faces soften, eye bags disappear, shoulders drop, and the light and smile return to the eyes. Guests start sleeping deeply, thinking clearly, and moving with ease. That shift stays with them long after they leave.
9. Lanserhof is pioneering brain health and dementia prevention. How are you approaching this?
We believe cognitive decline is not inevitable. With advanced neurological testing and inflammatory profiling, we can detect early changes and intervene with precision. Our therapies include oxygen training, micronutrient infusions, sleep restoration, and cognitive coaching. We also help guests experiencing memory lapses, brain fog, or digital fatigue. The goal is to strengthen the mind and preserve clarity so that body and brain remain in harmony.

10. Why do you focus on correct breathing and chewing at Lanserhof?
Because the simplest things often hold the most power. How we breathe and chew shapes how we digest, think, and feel. We guide guests to breathe more deeply and chew with awareness. It calms the nervous system and improves absorption. These small adjustments change everything. They create flow, clarity, and powerful energy.
11. How do you view India within this global conversation on longevity?
India is the birthplace of holistic wisdom. Meditation, yoga, and Ayurveda began here, and we have great respect for that heritage. At Lanserhof, we draw inspiration from expertise around the world, including India’s philosophy of balance and connection. I love seeing how many of our Indian guests are already so informed and curious. They understand that vitality is both science and spirit and that alignment makes it sustainable.

12. Lanserhof has been voted the World’s Best Medical Spa 2025. How are you continuing to evolve?
Recognition reminds us to stay curious. We’re grateful, but never complacent. Our focus remains on longevity, regenerative medicine, and brain health. We explore new therapies and collaborate with leading specialists. But the true measure of success is simple: how people feel when they leave. When someone departs Lanserhof glowing, grounded, and visibly renewed, that is the real reward.
13. What’s next?
Our next destination, Lanserhof Marbella, opens in the first quarter of 2027. It will be our first resort open 365 days a year, offering guests the chance to reset whenever they need, whether during the festive season or to begin the year anew. As our guests become increasingly global, so does our vision. Marbella is the beginning of a new chapter, with more destinations to follow. It’s an exciting time, and next time I’m back, I’ll share more.
14. And finally, what do you love about India?
India feels alive in every sense — spiritual, sensory, and emotional. The light, the colours, and the generosity of the people are unforgettable. Every time I visit, I’m reminded that longevity is not just about years. It’s about depth, connection, and grace. True vitality can be felt, seen, and shared. You can exude it, and others can sense it. That wisdom stays with me long after I leave.
