In a city that rarely pauses, Richa Agrawal, founder, AUM Life, has created a space that gently insists you do.
True well-being is not a performance or a protocol. It is a way of living, breathing, and being attuned to what nourishes you and brings you back into balance. This belief sits at the heart of AUM Life: The Urban Ashram, Mumbai- a sanctuary conceived as a still point within the city’s relentless orbit. Founded by Richa Agrawal, a lifelong seeker of conscious living, AUM Life emerges as a deeply personal offering shaped by years of practice, inquiry, and inner listening.
The Journey
Spirituality, for Richa, was woven into her childhood through chants, meditation, yoga, and healing practices, and the seed for AUM Life was planted during a meditation session in Berkeley.

Her beliefs and practices that shaped her childhood are a stark representation of AUM Life today. At its core, AUM is not merely a sacred sound but a philosophy: Awareness, Understanding, and Meditation. From this resonance emerges a holistic framework built around seven foundational pillars—Yoga, Dhyana, Divya, Prana, Gyana, Chikitsa, and Aahaara—each addressing a different dimension of human balance.
The Urban Ashram
Curved walls, vaulted ceilings, warm timber, grounded stone, and an earthen palette create a sense of tactility and calm. Additionally, the rooms are named with intention: Atha (the beginning), Antara (inner awareness), Sattva (clarity), Dhyana and Moksha (meditation and liberation).
Wellness That Honours the Individual
Personal consultations, individual therapies, and a range of wellness practices, including Hatha and Ashtanga yoga, Yoga Nidra, and pranic healing to sound, crystal, and form, form the framework of AUM.
“AUM Life brings centuries-old practices of holistic living under one roof, making them accessible for modern life,” Richa explains. The pillar of Divya explores astrology, tarot and past-life work. Gyana opens pathways through spiritual texts, while Chikitsa brings Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine to life. At the heart of the ashram lies Aahaara, the café that serves sattvic food and is rooted in Ayurveda’s principle of Ahara Aushadhi, food as medicine.
As a founder, Richa Agrawal represents a new generation of wellness leaders, those who understand that spirituality today must be lived, not declared; inclusive, not esoteric; and grounded, yet expansive. Through retreats, curated pilgrimages, corporate programmes, and now the Urban Ashram, AUM Life brings a way of living that feels more real, more rooted, and more alive.
