The Coolest New Way to Work Out? On Water!

Pioneering India’s first fitness-on-water movement, GetWetFit™ & Co. is turning workouts into immersive experiences where strength, wellness, and fun flow together!

Water has always been nature’s most powerful healer—soothing the body, calming the mind, and symbolising renewal across cultures. It’s where life began, and even today, it remains the element we instinctively turn to for balance and clarity. Bringing this philosophy into the modern wellness space is GetWetFit™ & Co., India’s first “fitness on water” brand.

Founders Geet Choithani and Rachit Mittal dared to question why fitness so often feels like a grind. Their answer was refreshingly intuitive: bring it back to water, the element where life began, where we feel lighter, calmer, and more open. The result? An experience that is equal parts dynamic, meditative, and fun.

To understand how this philosophy translates into practice, we got into a conversation with Richa Mittal, Chief Communication Officer and Founding Member, for a closer look at the journey and the dream driving India’s first floating fitness revolution.

1. GetWetFit & Co. has positioned itself as India’s first “Fitness on Water” brand. How do you want people to feel when they hear your name?

GetWetFit is India’s first fitness on water, where workouts float and wellness flows.

When people hear GetWetFit & Co., we want them to instantly think of freedom, fun, and transformation. Fitness often gets associated with discipline and struggle, but we want it to feel liberating—like reconnecting with yourself. The water element adds a sense of playfulness and balance, so our name should spark curiosity and excitement while also assuring people that this is fitness reimagined.

2. What was the philosophy behind choosing water as your medium—how does it tie into wellness, energy, and healing?

Started with an idea and passion to reinvent India’s workout! Water felt like the natural choice because it is primal—life itself began there. In water, we feel lighter, calmer, and more open. Physically, it challenges balance and core strength in ways no gym floor can. Emotionally, it soothes stress and eases anxiety. And spiritually, it has always symbolised renewal. For us, water brings together all three—body, mind, and spirit—into one transformative experience.

3. Can you walk us through what a typical Fit or Heal session looks like?

FLAABH™ Fit, our signature luxury aqua fitness experience, is designed to tone, refresh, and energise, offering a workout that is both transformative and deeply rejuvenating. FLAABH™ Heal: Serenity on Water is a 75-minute journey of tranquility. You can float effortlessly on eco-friendly platforms while being guided by the soothing soundscapes of singing bowls and chimes, set against serene aquatic venues. The session is suitable for ages 10 and above, and it is a great way to melt away the stress, enhance mental clarity, and restore harmony to body and soul.

4. How did the idea originate in the first place?

Childhood friends and first-generation entrepreneurs, Geet Choithani and Rachit Mittal, have always shared a passion for innovation and impact. Their entrepreneurial journey began early with DirectGharpe.com, a home grocery delivery app that launched well ahead of its time—well before platforms like BigBasket. While their first venture didn’t scale due to inexperience and execution challenges, it laid a strong foundation for what was to come.

Now, with deeper insights and a stronger vision, they’ve launched GetWetFit™ & Co., a bold fitness movement that’s changing the game. Born out of innovation, GetWetFit™ was envisioned as a refreshing alternative to the monotony of traditional workout formats. Why shouldn't fitness be dynamic, meditative, and fun all at once? With that spirit, Geet and Rachit are pioneering a fitness revolution that's as immersive as it is invigoratin

5. Can you tell us a bit about the water boards that you use?

We use specially designed floating fitness boards—think of them as yoga mats that float. They’re stable enough for dynamic movement but also responsive, so every exercise requires engagement and mindfulness. The boards are eco-friendly, durable, and designed for safety, allowing people of all fitness levels to try the sessions.

6. What’s next for you? How do you envision wellness evolving in the next 5 years?

Our next chapter is about scale and impact. We want GetWetFit to become a household name across India—not just in Tier 1 cities, but also in Tier 2 cities where wellness is growing rapidly. The idea is to make fitness and wellness a natural part of people’s lifestyles, not something that feels forced. What excites us most is shifting from a “push” to a “pull”. Instead of people being pushed into workouts out of guilt or obligation, we want them to be pulled in by the joy, the experience, and the community. We’re not just another fitness company; we’re creating an entirely new category of wellness in India.

Our vision is to make fitness an experience people crave, something they look forward to, rather than a chore they avoid. And in doing so, we hope to shape the next wave of wellness—where movement, healing, and lifestyle merge seamlessly.

7. In months, GetWetFit has expanded to over six cities, partnered with prestigious hotels, and brought reputed brands on board. What has enabled this rapid growth, and how do these collaborations strengthen your vision for the brand?

Our growth has been driven by one clear idea—that India is ready for a new category of wellness. In just a few months, we’ve expanded to six major cities—Delhi, Gurugram, Bengaluru, Goa, Chennai, and Mumbai. Along the way, we’ve partnered with some of the country’s most prestigious hotels, from the Shangri-La to Hyatt and many more, creating spaces where people can experience fitness and healing on water in a world-class setting.

We’ve also brought reputed brands on board that share our values of innovation and holistic living. These collaborations give us both credibility and reach while allowing us to offer our community experiences that go beyond just a workout. At the heart of it, this momentum reflects the excitement people feel for something fresh and transformative. These partnerships are helping us scale faster, but more importantly, they’re helping us shape GetWetFit as the name synonymous with wellness-as-an-experience across India.
