Your Next Hair-Spa at Home

Cleanse. Tone. Mask. Not just your face, but your hair too!

Pollution, dirt, sebum, and constantly touching your hair – all these factors call for that TLC on your strands we can’t miss out on anymore.

So if you’re tired of paying hefty bills, GlobalSpa brings to you how to get the most of your hair-spa sitting at home:

FOR NORMAL HAIR

  • Application of cucumber puree for 15 minutes before washing will provide shine and heaviness to the hair.
  • Soak one teaspoon of fenugreek seeds overnight. Next morning, grind the seeds and apply on the hair. Rinse with water an hour later and shampoo the next day to get glowing hair.
  • Periodically washing the hair with white vinegar gives a healthy look to the hair.
  • Drinking one cup of lettuce and spinach juice in combination is highly beneficial.

Apart from these special things one has to ensure cleanliness of normal hair by regular shampooing. Nourishment of its roots, and strands and the scalp by regular oiling is also necessary.

FOR OILY HAIR

The routine aims at removing the excess oil and to exfoliate skin cells that clog up and suffocate the hair follicles in our scalp.

  • Take some dry soap nuts (reetha) and soak them in water overnight. Mash them in the morning and strain the soapy solution. Add a teaspoon of shikakai powder and wash your hair.
  • If you are unable to make the shampoo cleanser at home, use this infusion recipe:
  • To make the infusion, boil two handfuls of mint leaves in 1½ water for 20 minutes. Strain the solution and mix in a 300ml bottle of shampoo.
  • Mix a tablespoon of Malt Vinegar in a glass of water. Add a pinch of salt in it. Use 2 tablespoons of it on your scalp and massage with your fingertips twice a week. Leave the lotion on for one hour. Rinse with cool water. Brush and set your hair

FOR DRY HAIR

  • The Gentle Cleanser: Beat an egg in a cup of the skimmed milk. When the foam becomes consistent, rub it into the scalp. Leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse the hair thoroughly with water. Carry out this routine twice a week.
  • The Protein Conditioner: Beat one tablespoon of castor oil, one tablespoon of glycerin, one tablespoon of cider vinegar and a teaspoon of mild herbal shampoo. Apply it on scalp and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse with clear water.
  • Buy a bottle of castor oil or coconut oil. Add a teaspoon of lavender essential oil in it. Heat a little and massage it gently on your scalp at night. Rinse or shampoo it out in the morning. This can be done twice a week.
