This is when I decided to have a spa-day-out and reached the award-winning luxury day spa, Sawadhee Traditional Thai Spa. A glimpse of its unique décor and ambience is shown right from the entrance. Designed to look like a Traditional Thai Pagoda, tall bamboo plantations, green cover and a water body extends to the interior. The spa reception has classic far-eastern décor featuring dark wooden furniture with bright cushions, and handpicked Thai artefacts such as lamps, Buddha statues, and trays, especially imported from Thailand. The attention to detail is not only given to the decor but also to the choice and quality of massage therapies, body wraps, facials, foot massage and other beauty treatments including relief for headaches, shoulder plus upper and lower back tension, joint and soft tissue injuries, insomnia and anxiety.
After being greeted at the reception and a brief discussion with my designated masseuse on which treatment should I take, I was guided to my treatment room, which had a private steam and jacuzzi. As soon as I made myself comfortable, I was given a quick foot scrub to get ready to begin my body massage with gentle strokes and pressure according to my liking. The calming soft Thai music and fragrances enriched my entire wellness experience. As I had a little suntan, I chose a de-tanning coffee scrub after my massage. For scrubs, you can choose from a wide range of ingredients like chocolate, honey, olive oil, almonds, and even red wine. And don’t worry, all their treatments use natural and organic products of the highest quality.
Do you remember how time passes fairly quickly when you are enjoying something? That is exactly what happened. My massage and scrub were completed and soon it was time for my steam, followed by a jacuzzi filled with rose petals, and then a quick shower. By that time, my herbal tea was getting ready, made with tea leaves which came all the way from Thailand. Needless to say, Sawadhee has maintained its authenticity of Thai culture in every aspect of a spa experience. I stepped out of my treatment room filled up with a sense of serenity, and I can vouch that you will too. The experience at Sawadhee Traditional Thai Spa is absolutely flawless and indulgent. An experience that consistently impresses to assure revisits, time and again.
