From sunrise yoga to epigenetic diagnostics, India readies to host a nationwide celebration of healing, hospitality and human connection
As the world prepares for the 9th edition of World Wellness Weekend (WWW) from September 19 to 21, 2025, India is poised to take centre stage as a powerful global voice in the wellness movement. Over three transformative days, the country will turn into a landscape of mindful experiences, uniting luxury hotels, iconic spas, beauty salons, fitness clubs, longevity studios, and corporate giants under one holistic mission: to prioritise healing and human connection.
Celebrated in over 150 countries, World Wellness Weekend is celebrated as a global call to action that makes wellness accessible, inclusive, and inspiring. This year, India is answering that call with resounding energy, embracing the 5 Pillars of Wellness: Sleep & Creativity, Nutrition & Immunity, Vitality & Movement, Serenity & Mindfulness, and Purpose & Solidarity.
“India’s wellness and beauty sectors are uniting like never before,” shares Reena Sheth, WWW’s Ambassador for India & APAC. “This is more than just a weekend of feel-good events, it’s a national movement that redefines how we think about wellbeing in daily life.”
What Makes India’s Celebration Special in 2025?
The upcoming edition promises to be one of the most diverse and immersive yet. Leading hospitality brands like Taj Hotels, CGH Earth, Hyatt, and Marriott are set to participate in the event. Additionally, beauty and wellness brands like Meghavi Wellness, Bombay Gymkhana, TONI&GUY, and Looks Salons hint at a celebration that’s both high-touch and high-impact.
The event will be a pioneer in wellness and one can expect everything from sunrise yoga by the sea, spa rituals designed for cancer care, and genetic wellness diagnostics to inclusive elder-care programmes, youth wellness clubs, and corporate workshops focused on burnout and balance. The movement is being further bolstered by strategic partnerships with organisations like Beautiful Hearts Fund, Beauty & Skill Council India, Madhavbaug, and D.Y. Patil University, Navi Mumbai.
Putting India on the Global Wellness Map
For the first time ever, India’s salons and wellness businesses can register to be part of the official World Wellness Map, offering international visibility and access to a global audience looking for meaningful wellness experiences. This initiative not only highlights India’s leadership in the wellness economy but also provides a long-term platform for brands to connect, grow and collaborate across borders.
