India’s Strongest Hopitality Brand: Taj

According to BRAND FINANCE’s Brand Value Report India 2021, world’s leading brand valuation consultancy, Taj, has been rated as the Number One hospitality brand in India.

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), South Asia’s largest hospitality company, Taj has continued to retain its position amongst the Top Two strongest brands in India across all sectors. Incorporated by the founder of the Tata Group, Jamsetji Tata, the Company opened its first hotel – The Taj Mahal Palace, in Bombay in 1903. Now, it has a portfolio of 221 hotels including 55 under development globally across 4 continents, 12 countries, and in over 100 locations.

Released by Brand Finance, the report shows Taj securing a BSI (Brand Strength Index) score of 89.3 out of 100 and a corresponding elite AAA brand strength rating based on factors such as marketing investment, stakeholder equity, and business performance. It also highlights the company’s innovative strategy in the face of the pandemic, and its various COVID relief measures, including hosting medical fraternity across its hotels.
