Cocooned in the cedar hills of the Dhauladhar in the Outer Himalayas, Hyatt Regency Dharamshala is acclaimed as its first mountain resort property in India. Boasting remarkable local-inspired architecture and modern technology that offers natural benediction to all kinds of travelers, the resort is especially immersive in its sustainable experiences.
Managed by Shanti Hospitality Management Services, the resort is exceptionally green - rich flora around, solar power consumption, reusing wastewater, minimum plastic usage, and a menu that is organic, healthy, and inclusive of herbs and vegetables that are grown locally.
Ideal for family, romantic, or solo getaways, here’s why residing at the Hyatt Dharamshala is a noteworthy experience for eco-conscious travelers:
IN-HOUSE BOTTLING PLANT
Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort is one of the very few hotels in India to have its water bottling plant on-premises which is in sync with Hyatt's Global Initiatives to significantly reduce single-use plastics. The resort also features reusable glass bottles in guest areas that are aligned with the well-being of guests and underscores the commitment to the many sustainable practices. The glass bottles are thoroughly sterilized before each use and then filled with pure drinking water and sealed shut with single-use stickers that break on the opening.
INFUSED BOTANICAL WATER
In collaboration with Michael Isted (The Herball) - a world-renowned alchemist, Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort has also created and introduced botanical infused water - blended and bottled in-house from Indian grown and distilled fresh mineral water.
THE SPA
The rejuvenating Shanti Spa at the resort uses essential oils, scents and balms, that are curated in-house using the concept of Herbalism, similar to exclusive beverages at 2082, for healing, pleasure, performance, and pure radiance.
IN THE PINK OF HEALTH
The resort uses Himalayan Pink Salt which is naturally rich in more than eighty minerals and is directly sourced from the salt mines located in the region. It helps balance the body's pH levels, regulate metabolism, helps lower blood pressure, and is great for detoxing the body!
