A self-proclaimed water baby, Rakul was in her element at Baglioni Maldives. "Anything to do with water—I’m all in! The real highlight was snorkelling in the resort’s in-house reef," she fondly recalls. You can spot an impressive number of corals and colourful reef fish and if you are here in February and March, you can also spot manta rays. “Morning or evening, we’d dive in and spot everything from colourful fish to baby sharks and breathtaking marine life in hues of purple and green," Rakul shares.

 "We took a boat to a reef about 20–25 minutes from the property. The experience was magical—music playing, lounging on soft mattresses, enjoying a sunset spread of cheese, fresh fruits, and sandwiches. Everyone was singing, dancing—it was pure bliss in the middle of the ocean." The resort also arranges other water activities like kayaking, deep-sea diving, fishing excursions and dolphin spotting.

I really liked the treatment, and the therapists were great." For those looking to curate the perfect day, Rakul has a plan: "Start with a workout—their yoga instructor is incredible, and they have a great gym trainer. Then, take a dip in the infinity pool, where the ocean view is absolutely mesmerising."

"The property made it so special for us, from the beautifully decorated room with floral arrangements to the most amazing chocolate cake on our last night." Every little detail, from the table settings to the warm gestures, made it an incredibly wholesome and beautiful celebration.

Ask Rakul if she’d return, and she doesn’t hesitate for a second. "Absolutely! The entire experience, the warmth of the staff, the attention to detail—it was all incredible. A special mention to Ramiz, our butler, who made everything seamless, and Yama, the Japanese restaurant—phenomenal food! I’d love to come back—100%!"
