After a long break and never-ending 24x7 work from home, people are all set to catch up with a vacation. Tired of staying indoors for this long, people are looking for an escape to another country to have a good time with their family and friends. As things are getting better, countries are lifting the restrictions on international travel. Here are 12 countries that are welcoming Indian Travelers with some terms and conditions applied for safety in this pandemic.
1.) Serbia
The Soviet Union Nation, Serbia has opened its international borders for Indian Travelers. Also, it is the transit point for Canada, and the US as the countries have banned direct entry. Although the country allows Indians to have visa-free entries for 30 days, since India is an area of concern, there are some restrictions. You have to follow some code of conduct; you need to have an RT-PCR test done 48 hours before the time of departure. Also, Serbia Government has imposed a seven-day quarantine for the Indian Travelers.
2.) Turkey
Turkey, one of the most favorite traveling destinations in India, is now open for Indian travelers. But you are required to be in a 14-day quarantine facility on your arrival. RT-PCR will be done on the 14th day of quarantine. You can experience the irresistible destinations if the results come negative. Also, you can expect the ticket prices to be double than from ordinary days.
3.) Switzerland
Switzerland is open for everyone, even for people from the countries with their variants and high risk like India but with some conditions. People who are fully vaccinated with a good protection vaccine and have recovered from Covid-19 are welcomed there. If you are one, then you would not be getting tested again or even quarantined. People who are not vaccinated or recovered must present a negative RT-PCR test and get quarantined on arriving.
4.) South Korea
All the people swooning over K-Dramas, South Korean beauty products, food, and destinations can now travel to South Korea if fully vaccinated. However, if it's not Covishield, you might need to go for two-week quarantine as Covaxin is yet to be approved by WHO (World Health Organization).
5.) Maldives
One of the most favorite international destinations of Indians, Maldives has opened its borders for Indian Tourists. However, the flights are limited; they will be available twice a week. All you need to carry is a negative RT-PCR test report for approval. And if everything goes well, the flight may start functioning normally from August or September.
6.) Uzbekistan
Any Indian Citizen who has access to a valid visa for CIS countries can travel to Uzbekistan and explore the mosques, mausoleums, mosaic art of Islamic architecture. However, you must follow some conditions; the traveler must have the negative RT-PCR report taken from not more than 72 hours before the flight. Before that, you will be quarantined for 14 days.
7.) South Africa
South Africa has been open for travel and tourism ever since the pandemic happened. However, there were very limited options for the flight, which made the travel impossible. Still, there are some restrictions. You need to carry a negative RT- PCR test report taken in between the last 72 hours. In case of absence of the negative test reports, the person would be quarantined at their own expense.
8.) Costa Rica
Costa Rica is another country that has opened its international borders for tourism. They have been open for International tourists since November 2020 but with some restrictions. Travelers don't need to carry a negative Covid test report with them, but they need to fill out a health pass form beforehand. They will get a QR code that they need to show on their arrival. There is no obligation to quarantine either.
9.) Iceland
The Island Nation, Iceland, has also opened its borders for Indians to explore the territory. But the condition entails that the person should be fully vaccinated with the vaccines approved by EU Nations like Covisheild by AstraZeneca. The person would need to carry the vaccine certification with the negative RT-PCR test for approval. The Icelandic government will require one more Covid test upon arrival; if it comes negative, you'll be free to go.
10.) Russia
Russia is too open for Indian Travelers, but only if you have an invitation from the government-backed tourism agency. You can also apply for a tourist visa for 30 days. To enter the country, you would require a negative RT-PCR test done before 72 hours of the flight. There would be one more test on arrival at the Airport. If found negative, then you are good to go.
11.) Egypt
The Middle eastern attraction, Egypt, is welcoming Indian Travelers. To attract more tourists, Egypt doesn't demand negative test reports. But due to the risk of Delta Covid-19, the Egyptian authorities take the on-spot RT-PCR Test on arrival. If coming from any Covid-strain country, the person would need to take a 15 minute DNA test.
12.) Mauritius
Mauritius, one of the most loved island destinations, is opening in two phases, one from 15th July and other 30th September and then after 1st October. In the first phase, only the fully vaccinated people will experience the beauty of this Island Nation. Still, the vaccinated tourists need to have a Covid test done with negative results 5 to 7 days before the flight. There will be one more RT-PCR test on arrival and the 7th and 14th day of your stay. In the 2nd phase, vaccinated travelers will be welcomed with a negative Covid test report. The test is done within 72 hours before the flight. Unvaccinated travelers would need to stay in a quarantine facility for 14 days.
