Celebrating the Doyenne: Tejal Pimpley

“For most of history, Anonymous was a woman.” ~ Virginia Woolf. On this International Women's Day, GlobalSpa recognizes and celebrates the women in the industry as we delve into their success mantra they follow, mistakes that have helped them grow, and of course, their WELLNESS philosophy.

GTejal Pimpley heads CISB which is CIS Bureaus Facility Services Pvt. Ltd, Metime Café, Penthouzz, a rooftop lounge, and BYou, a dance academy.

What is your wellness philosophy?

Wellness for me is being healthy, both mentally and physically. We should take care of both of them equally. A person's mind and heart should be rightly aligned. We should never give up on our physical and mental health. Your constant effort to maintain yourself for your well being and growth leads you towards a path of a healthy lifestyle.

Your success mantra?

My success mantra would be to start each day with a grateful heart. Work with all your heart and will, and there would be nothing which can stop you from achieving your goals. Other traits would be to have a focused and oriented mind which constantly flows of positive thoughts, have self belief, creating a healthy working atmosphere to thrive in, and most importantly a mind inclined towards spirituality. All these together helps me to achieve success.

A lesson you learned from making a mistake?

No one on this earth is deprived of making mistakes. But how a person finds the solution and reasons for those mistakes reveals their true character. I think I trust too early and that is something that has pulled me down several times. Moreover, I would say it is important to connect with trustworthy people and it is even more important to use your judgement and experience to avoid being misused by people. Lastly, I would advise that never give up, attitude always helps you in standing back right after making a mistake.

Any piece of advice for all the women out there?

Never leave your true identity, be yourself, don't let anyone dim your sunshine, always listen to your heart, and work on being an inspiration to others around you. Most importantly believe in yourself.

What has been your biggest pride as a doyenne?

I think the biggest pride for me has been actually to break the stereotypes on women not being a part of a security business. In India, every job is so male inclined and that is something I feel I totally went against. I would say every person should have two traits within themselves: self respect and self believe. These two traits have played a major role in shaping up my present.
